On March 31, 2026, Tamer Botros, a member of the Bond Club of Philadelphia, joined industry leaders at the Tri-State Institutional Forum hosted by Markets Group in New York City. Participating in the panel “Active vs. Passive: Finding the Edge,” Botros shared his insights on institutional investing with an audience of capital allocators and asset managers.

The panel explored the ongoing debate between active and passive investment approaches and how to utilize both strategies within institutional portfolios. Botros highlighted the advantages of active management via custom white label funds through thoughtful asset allocation and manager selection. He also noted that while passive management has outperformed in recent years, largely reflecting narrow market leadership driven by the “Magnificent Seven,” as market breadth improves the pendulum can shift back in favor of active management.

The Bond Club of Philadelphia is proud to see its members contributing to thought leadership within the industry.
